Building A Deck Bench

Deck bench is a luxury which can add the flavor to your wooden structure. You can use it for passing your time in the morning and in the evening when you feel tired. Believe me that this is a simple deck project and you can do it on your own. If you are even a layman carpenter then as well you can do it on your own.
You can use the simple wood for this purpose, in fact, any wood. You will have to look for a simple plan and just stick to it. After sometime you will see an excellent bench and you will be the creator.

Let me now explain the steps which you will have to follow. It goes like this:
  1. You will have to measure the size of the wood for the sides of the chair. You will also have to cut the wood for the end of your platform chairs; a portion of slat, plus a pair stretches. It will also require a pairs of braces and four legs.
  2. The next thing which you will have to do is to create frame of the bench. Then you will have to install the end parts. You should note down that the end parts will be between the side parts. Use the screws on each side. The size of the screw depends upon the thickness of the wood. You will have to combine the slat and the frame with the help of the screw. The thickness of the wood is certainly important. In the past the carpenters used to take the thick wood for preparing the benches as they find it to be more relaxing and soothing.
  3. Now you will have to design the pedestal of the bench.
  4. Then you will have to combine the slats and the stretchers with the aid of the screw. To guaranty the safety you will have to use the braces. Use the saw wherever you want to do the cutting. Do not forget to use the screws. In this way you will be able to prepare your deck bench.
The question now arises that where you will have to place. The answer is also quite simple. You will have to place it over a deck which you will prepare.
Generally this type of bench is very good for sitting in the morning and evening. The old people designed it for the same purpose and we are still following the same tradition.
